The Claimant in this case suffers from a condition which affects around 10% of the population. Whilst diagnosis, and additional support is schools has vastly improve in recent years, dyslexia was widely ignored as 'ignorance' or 'stupidity' for generations. 

Employers need to be mindful that the impacts of dyslexia can be severe (around 6 million adults in the UK  - both with and without the condition - are thought to be functionally illiterate) and can be considered a disability within the scope of the Equality Act.
